Getting your kitten started on an adult diet

Your kitten's mischievous behaviour may suggest otherwise, but she's now an adult cat. This means her nutritional needs have changed and you need to switch her over to an adult food like Hill's Science Plan Adult. This will provide her with all the nutrients, vitamins and minerals she needs.

Making the switch from kitten food to adult food is best done gradually over a 5-7 day period. Each day you can decrease the amount of kitten food and increase the amount of adult food. This will give your kitten lots of time to get used to the new taste and consistency.

It's usually possible to leave dry food available in a dish all day (free choice feeding) without the risk of overeating. Or, if you prefer, you can just feed a number of separate meals throughout the day. Please consult your vet if you have any further questions regarding the change in your cat’s food.
